Department of Chemistry at GDC Shopian was established in 2011.The department has well-qualified and motivated teaching faculty with a strong commitment to teaching. It has two well-equipped laboratories for carrying out routine practical work of undergraduate course in chemistry. Objective of the department is to become a Centre of excellence in teaching and popularizing chemistry. We also endeavor to make chemistry outreach programs that demonstrate the role of chemistry as an important science.
