Objectives and Role
- Prevention of substance use through awareness about harmful effects of drugs, alcohol, tobacco and other addictive substances.
- Awareness and sensitisation through lectures, seminars, workshops, poster-making, debates, rallies and awareness campaigns.
- Early identification and support for vulnerable students, maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
- Counselling and referral by facilitating access to professional counselling, de-addiction and rehabilitation services.
- Promotion of a drug-free campus by discouraging possession, consumption and distribution of intoxicating substances.
- Coordination with district authorities including Police, Health Department, Social Welfare Department and District Administration.
- Observance of national campaigns like Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
- Student participation through NCC, NSS and other student clubs in anti-drug awareness and community outreach.
- Community awareness extending anti-drug messages beyond campus to families and surrounding community.
- Monitoring and reporting of anti-drug activities with proper records, photographs and reports.

- Door-to-door/community outreach programmes with NSS/NCC volunteers.
- Celebrating International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
- Collaboration with District Administration, Police and Health Department.
- Maintaining records of programmes and submitting reports to authorities.
- Displaying helpline/counselling information at appropriate places on campus.
- Conducting periodic awareness drives to sustain a drug-free and healthy campus environment.
