Today on 21-06-2023, online portal for Admission Process of BG 5th& 6th semesters was thrown open officially. In an impressive gathering held in the auditorium of Science Block of the college, the students, faculty members along with worthy Principal assembled for the purpose. The launching of this portal was made possible by the concerted efforts of the College IT Cell and Website Committee in consultation with Admission Committee of the institution. Before the formal launch of the portal, Convener IT cell of the college, Dr. Aashiq Hussain Lone, provided a general overview of the portal, explaining all the steps involved in the online admission process. He advised the students to be careful while filling in their details and highlighted the feature of online payment gateway linked to it. He responded to certain queries raised about the process by audience, satisfactorily.
The portal was officially thrown open by worthy Principal, Dr. Shafiq Ahmad at 12:45 P.M. In his post launching address, he expressed his pleasure for making the process digitized and easy for the students. He advised the students to be careful on such platforms, especially, while making financial transactions. Side by side he warned the students to be punctual to college failing which they will be debarred from appearing in the examinations. He lauded the efforts of the College IT Team headed by Dr. Aashiq Hussain Lone for their determination to fulfill the demands of Digital India Campaign. The efforts of IT Team were also praised and appreciated by the senior faculty members Prof. Tariq Hussain Mir, Prof. Iftikhar un Nisa and Prof. Mahmood Ahmad Tak. Convener Admission Committee, Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Wachkoo also thanked the incumbent IT Cell members for making the process easy for students and hassle free for the dealing officials as well.
Pertinent to mention that the portal was developed by the College IT Cell with its own efforts, utilizing the resources available in the institution, thus, showing their capability and determination besides saving a handsome amount (in lacs) that would have been charged while hiring an IT agency for the purpose.
The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Hilal Ahmad Pal, Dept. of Chemistry and member College Admission Committee.
