The District Administration Shopian in collaboration with the Govt. Degree College, Shopian today held a day-long programme on ” International Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on 26th June 2022 at Govt. Degree College, Shopian. The Programme was Attended by the Officers from District Adminstration /Officials, College Faculty, NSS Volunteers, College Students, AWWs and the general public.
The main theme was to aware the general public and students in particular regarding the ill effects of drugs and to end the drug menace in the District Shopian. The participants from Health, Education, District Legal Service Authority and College students threw light on the theme:
The main activities were:
1. Speech Competition.
2. Painting Competition.
3. Rally.
4. Pledge.
The participants were awarded on the basis of their performance in various activities.
The Programme was presided over by Prof Dr Nisar Ahmad Wani, HOD Economics and Showkat Ahmad Showkat DSWO Shopian. The programe was coordinated by Career Counseling Cell IM GDC Shopian.
